Spring registration opens December 5! KWC Performing Arts offers several different class options Mondays – Thursdays! There is something for the beginner who wants to explore musical theatre, the advanced student interested in skill-specific study, and anyone in between! All instructors are degreed or performing professionals who love to work with kids. Classes begin January 29!
Pre K – Kindergarten
Storybook Theatre is an adventure into storytelling where children are guided from individual imaginative play to incredible group fun! Our youngest students will explore beloved books focusing on storylines, characters and putting a story on its feet. Activities include improvisation, storytelling with friends, and character creation. Your child’s language expands, cooperation and observation skills grow, and most of all, there is plenty of laughter!
1st – 5th Grade
Kids will learn the fundamentals of acting on stage and creating a character by bringing the characters from Lewis Carrol’s Alice in Wonderland to life! Students will learn basic theatre terminology through different exercises throughout the semester. We will end the semester by showcasing a few scenes from Alice in Wonderland on December 11th.
1st – 12th Grade (TCL Class)
Step into our Touring Company’s Advanced Dance classes, where we offer training in Ballet, Jazz, and Musical Theatre Dance! Open to dancers of all levels, these classes require an audition to ensure you’re placed in the class that best matches your current skill level. Whether you’re steeped in ballet, jazz, or musical theatre, we provide a space for all dancers to thrive and advance their talents!
1st – 5th Grade
Students will learn the fundamentals of Musical Theatre and dance terminology while learning fun and dynamic group numbers from iconic musicals. We will showcase two fully cast, blocked, and choreographed musical numbers on December 6th.
6th – 12th Grade
How can we find freedom in a tiny frame? Experience big moments with a camera two inches from our face? In this class we will explore the nuance of On Camera Acting through TV, Film and Commercial scene work, imagination exercises and grounding ourselves in our individuality. From cold reads, to self-tape set ups, to being on set—we will tackle the current industry standards to meet each student where they are on their artistic journey. All experience levels welcome!
8th – 12th Grade (TCL Class)
These classes are for dedicated performers looking to be challenged every week! After the audition process, we’ll help identify the class that matches your skills. Whether you’re captivated by powerful monologues, keen on mastering classic literature, or intrigued by character and scene analysis, our courses provide a dynamic platform for actors to deepen their craft.

Introducing TCL (Touring Company Level) Classes! The Kids Who Care Touring Company trains together every Tuesday and Thursday – taking acting, singing, and dance classes specifically designed to catapult their skills and grow them as bold artists and leaders. We are thrilled to be opening up these classes on an audition basis to non-Touring Company members! Just as we have a wide range of ages and skill levels in the Touring Company, we also welcome students of all ages and experience levels to audition for TCL classes. Students may audition to take class one day a week or both days, and we will have a section on the audition form to select the classes you are interested in auditioning for. Each TCL Class includes a 30-minute warm-up (4:30-5pm) with the full Touring Company and a 90-minute class (5-6:30pm).

Work side by side with kids of all ages, university students, and theatre professionals. Learn how camp works by getting to serve on a department team while rehearsing a musical; sell snacks, assist at lunch, be a part of the media group, or be on the ticket or security team. By applying to be one of our KidPower Team Members you will receive our KidPower-packed training the week before Camp!
