Send a kid to Musical Theater Camp, and open the doors of opportunity at Kids Who Care.
At-risk youth in art-rich programs do better in school and in their personal lives than do kids who are not involved. When kids from lower economic backgrounds are given the same level of exposure to Fine Arts it “levels the playing field” in terms of academic achievement. The goal of the Scholarship program is to offer opportunity to young artists who don’t have financial resources.
Kids Who Care provides a unique camp experience where:
- Positive Leadership is defined and modeled daily.
- Positive attitudes are nurtured resulting in the growth of self-esteem.
- Ensemble casts teach team building and responsibility.
- Young artists learn that each individual team member is equally responsible for the final product.
- Youth learn to be respectful of individual differences and achievements.
- Kids learn to be punctual and efficient.
- Students express themselves through creative writing for KWC scripts.
