Summer KidPower Team
The Summer KidPower Team includes students of all ages. Students who apply must have completed one summer session with Kids Who Care Musical Theatre Camp or are currently studying at a University in a related field.
All Kids selected for the KidPower Team are required to train the week prior to camp in KidPower Leadership with the professional staff. This week includes:
- Verve – The Five Points of Power
- The Kids Who Care Culture
- Kids Who Care Founding Principles
- Goals to Action to Jobs
- Skills, Games, Warm-ups, Ensemble
- Workshop of Production
- Leadership Logistics
The Application Process
- November – applications are available at Kids Who Care offices and on-line
- January – applications are due
- January – KidPower Leadership for Camp is announced
The Levels of Leadership
- Student Staff – University and High School Students (16 and up) applying for a paid position working as key leaders in support of professional staff.
- Interns – Students with KidPower Leadership experience selected to lead small groups and support student staff.
- Apprentices – New and returning students who lead by example in rehearsals and support interns and staff.
