KidPower
KidPower Leadership is an essential element of the organization designed by Founding Executive Director Deborah Jung.
KidPower is a leadership system modeled year round with Kids Who Care’s Professional Staff, Volunteers, Summer Student Staff, and Board of Directors. The impact of this leadership style has created a unique company driven by the spirit of servant leadership where all levels of leaders are respected and sit at the table of power together.
KidPower Leadership is based on five principles of power:
- Vision
- Encouragement
- Role Models
- Visibility
- Efficiency
Using these five principles as the spring board for defining how members of the leadership team perceive power, the business culture is defined, the mission clarified, goals are set, and everyone finds a voice in driving toward a successful outcome. KidPower Leadership can be used as a management tool by corporations and diverse teams of leaders to bridge staff to board, teachers to principals, doormen to CEOs.
