Ky Christopher Cleveland

Austin, Texas (USA)
Years in Kids Who Care: 6ish
Since leaving Kids Who Care: Since his KWC days, Ky has been seen in various productions throughout the DFW area. He has performed on the stages of Theatre Arlington, ONSTAGE in Bedford, and Sage & Silo, to name a few. He attended college at TCC North East with a drama scholarship. In 2000, he co-founded The Box Theatre with fellow KWC alumni, Michael Johnson. Together they have written, directed, and starred in a multitude of plays. Their repertoire consists primarily of original and classical works. (Basically, anything they don't have to pay royalties for). The Box Theatre currently makes its home at the Hardy and Betty Sanders Theatre, in the Fort Worth Community Arts Center (right next door to KWC... the same building, actually). Now that you know about them, you should see all of their productions and invite your friends and family along too. You can visit their website at www.theboxtheatre.com. (A little shameless self-promotion never hurt anyone, now has it? As any true KWC alumni should know by now, self-promotion equals self-preservation... and that's the truth!)
Currently Doing: Ky currently resides in Austin, TX, where he lives with his dog Jake. He's hairy, friendly with strangers, likes to play fetch, and is as adorable as can be. The dog is pretty cute too. Since leaving the Box Theatre (on good terms, mind you) he has taken a hiatus from the theatre scene in order to pursue other interests such as drinking wine, playing accordion, and flirting with college girls. Though this has provided him some amusement over the past year or so, he hopes to jump back into action soon. He continues to be a patron of the arts, and when he finds a theatre with whom he feels at home, he will then join forces with them and wreak all sorts of unmentionable havoc. If he doesn't find such a group, then he may just have to start a renegade troupe of his own. In the meantime, he has been keeping a low profile amongst the other Ausinite weirdos. Although MIA from the stage, he has participated in a few film projects with friends, and would like to continue in that line of work as well. Other than that, he works full-time as a wine steward at Randall's grocery store, practices his musical skills on a small accordion, plays with his dog Jake, and whittles away his time reminiscing about the days when he sang songs, performed skits, and danced on a sprained ankle with a little group called Kids Who Care before a large group of enraptured European schoolchildren, who, though they didn't speak our language, enjoyed the performance nonetheless. It wast at times like that when Ky was his happiest. Ah... Those Were The Days!
