Years in Kids Who Care: 2 Years of KWC Summer Camp

Since leaving Kids Who Care: Although my time with KWC was short, I owe alot to my experience there. I had a wonderful time with my second family, The Willis Bunch (yeah, Taylor!), and I made life long friends there. I graduated from Tarleton State University in 2002 with a BS in Speech Communication. I then attended law school at Texas Tech, which was great. Next, I spent a year as Miss New Mexico and competed for the title of Miss America in 2003. Through that experience, I spent a lot of time on the road, traveling throughout the country to speak on behalf of the National Department of Health and their organ donor advocacy programs. After my year as Miss New Mexico, I took a job as a reporter for an ABC affiliate in Southeastern New Mexico, then decided I wanted to get myself back to Fort Worth! I served as Asst. Marketing and Sales Director for a development company in downtown before taking a job as Marketing and Corporate Sales Director for an entertainment development company in Dallas.

Currently Doing: After being out of school for about 4 years, I decided I'd like to finish my masters degree. I'll graduate with my Masters degree in Mass Communication from Texas State University this summer. I currently serve on the Board of Directors for several organizations, including The Have a Heart Project, The YES Program, and the Tarleton State University Alumni Assoc. I stay active in organ donor advocacy programs, and often travel to speak on behalf of their cause. I also spend a lot of my time as a marketing consultant for two universities. I will soon be moving to Las Vegas to work in Media Relations and Casino Marketing, which will be a blast! Thanks to KWC for helping me come out of my shell! I have wonderful memories of my time there, and I will always hold it near and very dear to my heart.
