Hope Scholarships
Since 1989, Kids Who Care has awarded more than a million dollars in scholarships. Funding tuition for camps, study tours, and classes, KWC provides opportunity while creating a corporate culture that is financially blind. Families served by the scholarships come in all forms from single parent homes, to families experiencing medical stress or temporary job loss.
Families may apply for Hope Scholarships by first completing a financial aid application. The second step in the process is the Hope Scholarship Audition. Kids prepare a monologue, poem, dance, or vocal audition and are selected based on the desire of the child to participate.
The first 120 scholarships were funded through the Junior League of Fort Worth (1989-1991). Since that time, Hope Scholarships continue to be supported through the generous support of individuals, corporations, and foundations.
Hope Scholarships are named in honor of Founding Director Deborah Jung’s grandmother Hope Murphy.
