Board of Directors

Kids Who Care is a non-profit corporation governed by a Board of Directors. The KWC Board, KidPower Board, KWC Staff, and Committee members retreat annually to create a sound financial plan for the corporation. The Board of Directors, KidPower Board Members, and full time Staff meet monthly to review and revise this plan. In addition, the Board, in cooperation with the KWC staff, reviews policy and procedures related to the operation of the business.

The Board's primary function is to develop and implement a resource plan to assist the organization in securing grants and donations from the private and corporate sector. This is accomplished through two committees; the Resource Committee and the Cookin' for Kids Committee. Individual Board Members are expected to contribute resources, time and contacts to this process.

In addition, the Kids Who Care Board governs four committees dedicated to the support of the Staff in the day-to-day operations. These committees include the Resident Company Committee, Camp Committee, Production Committee, and the International Committee. Committees report their progress at each Board Meeting.

Michael O'Toole is an entrepreneurial executive with more than 21 years of experience managing sales, marketing, and personnel at the regional, national, and global level for manufacturing, airline, and service companies. A graduate of University of Central Texas, with a Bachelors of Science in Aviation Management, he began his career as operations coordinator for American Eagle Airlines at DFW. O'Toole continued his career as Regional Sales Rep for Aero Quality Services for three years and Director of Customer Service for Airbase Services, Inc for another three years. For twelve years O'Toole worked with TRW Aeronautical Systems where he received numerous promotions with one of the largest automotive, aerospace and systems companies in the world. Today Mr. O'Toole works as the airline accounts manager for Wieland Designs, Inc in Granbury, TX.
